Trenton and Charleston combine for 35 runs

Posted on: May 22, 2008 3:12 pm

First, the Charleston Riverdogs absolutely destroyed the Red Sox low A affiliate Greenville Drive 20-2.

Dellin Betances displayed his hit or miss command with an uninspiring 4 1/3 1ER 4K and 6BB. The offensive star was First baseman Brian Baisley, who was 5-6 with 2 2B, 2HR, and 7 RBI.

A few hours north, the Trenton Thunder put the hurt on the Reading Phillies 15-5. Best news about this is it looks like Jose Tabata (last years' #1 positional prospect) is finally starting to come out of his season long funk. He was 3-6 with a HR and 4 RBI. His fellow top 50 prospect Austin Jackson was even better, going 2-5 with a triple and a grand slam. He totalled 7 RBI.

Trenton and Charleston combine for 35 runs

A pitcher for the Lakewood Blueclaws has 71 strikeouts. Cashman should buy this kid.
